With the war in Ukraine, we are witness to new heroes like Marina Ovsyannikova who burst onto a live Russian newscast to denounce the war and risked everything to fight for what is right.

So too, during Women History Month, I wondered who were female pioneers in mental health, who fought to #endthestigma and came up with a list of remarkable women.
